Velvet is a soft and luxurious fabric. With proper care, it is a material that can last a lifetime! As velvet is sensitive to liquids, we strongly advise against cleaning the fabric with water or using a damp cloth. Dry clean only.
The Darling headboard is crafted using a luxurious Italian velvet made from 100% cotton, creating a creating a truly stylish product. The headboard is padded with high quality foam and quilted with upholstered buttons in the same fabric. When attaching the headboard we recommend allowing approximately 65cm of the headboard to sit above the mattress. Fixtures for attaching the headboard onto the wall are included. The Darling headboard is available in seven velvet colour option to suit any bedroom colour scheme. Available in five width options, 120cm, 140cm, 160cm, 180cm and 210cm.
We only use 100% cotton velvet from Italy in our furniture range. Cotton velvet is the most durable type of velvet and only consists of natural fibre and therefore healthier to have around the home. Our velvet has a high rub count of 100,000. Velvet is delicate and can mark and change over time, this is part of the charm and characteristics of the material.
When the velvet furniture is packed for transit it is wrapped tightly to avoid any damage. This can sometimes cause indents and marks to the velvet nap which may be visible once unpacked. These marks will fade and disappear over time once the sofa gets a chance to ‘breathe’. A soft bristle brush or gentle clothes steamer can be used to buff out these marks quicker. Temporary impressions on the velvet can be buffed out by plumping the cushion and stroking the fabric using your hand or a fabric brush.
